121.  Duel!  The Strongest and Last Shichinin - Tai

123.  Regenerate Naraku Beyound Darkness

Kagome pulls to free Inuyasha from a flesh wall while Inuyasha stuggles and still could not get free. Naraku's head appears and kagome shoots an arrow at him while sango uses her hiraikotsu (boomerang) at him, but they both miss. Bankotsu appears trap in the wall of flesh as well. Naraku then pulls out the last 2 remains shikon shards in Bankotsu causing him to die. Later in the episode,Inuyasha to goes after Naraku with Kagome on his back. Kagome gets her arrow ready to fly and then shoots it, hitting the 2 shards, freeing kouga out of a bubble. Outside of the moutains Kagura flying out with this baby in her arms that is covered up. Kikyo then shoots an arrow at her but Kagura dodges it.

124.  Farewell, My Lovely Kikyo

Picking up where the last episode left off, Kagome shoots her holy arrow at Naraku's barrier, freeing Kouga. Mount Hakurei begins to collapse, and Kouga, still unconscious, falls to the center of the mountain. Meanwhile, Naraku emerges from the mountain and makes a run for Kikyou, who is standing at its base. His movement opens fissures in the ground, which are all filled with his poisonous miasma. Higher up, Kagome and the others can't find a way out of the mountain with pieces of it falling all around them. At the same time, Inuyasha also finds an opening in the mountain, but as he heads towards it, he has a vision of Kikyou, and gets a bad feeling. Back at Kikyou and Naraku, Kikyou questions Naraku's true intentions, and demands to know what Kagura was carrying when she escaped the mountain earlier (in the previous episode which looked like a baby). Inuyasha leaps through the debris of the mountain, still carrying Kouga, but through the dust, he momentarily mistakes Kagome for Kikyou. Kikyou fires a warning shot at Naraku, again asking what his real objective is. Naraku replies that Kikyou may think that fate brought her to confront him, but it was actually all part of his plan to lure her to Mount Hakurei. As to his real objective... Naraku slices through Kikyou's shoulder, destroying her bow and knocking her to the ground. Naraku says he now feels nothing when he attacks her. Kikyou realizes that this must mean that the object Kagura was carrying was Naraku's human heart. She is thrown backwards into the fissure behind her, where the river of miasma flows. Again, as she falls, she recalls her life, and mutters the words "Inuyasha...". Sesshoumaru then appears and states why Naraku went through so much trouble just to kill one woman. After when Naraku and Sesshoumaru battle a small bit, Naraku dissipears. Sesshoumaru takes note that Inuyasha is still alive, and also mentions that Naraku seemed to want to kill THAT woman more than anything. Inuyasha thinks about what she said Naraku couldn't kill her so long as Onigumo's heart still longed for her. Inuyasha sees a Shinidamachuu and a shred of Kikyou's clothing floating in the river of poison, but dissolved into by the miasma. Elsewhere, Kagura is pondering over her new apparent babysitting job. Because that's exactly what she's holding. "Kikyou is dead," says the white-haired baby in her arms. "Naraku killed her."

125.  Darkness in Kagome's Heart

Inuyasha is mourning and doesn't want any compassion. He keeps on thinking at the last cruel but true words Sesshoumaru told him. When he goes back to the others, he passes Kagome, without any eye contact. Then, when Inuyasha is gone, Miroku, Sango and Kagome are captured. Again one of Naraku's tricks. Shippo and Kirara escape and are searching for Inuyasha. Kagome is separated from the others. Sango saves Miroku and herself. Kagome is forced to hold 'Naraku's baby'. She remembered how Inuyasha passed her, and how his heart is with someone else.

126.  Change Heartache into Courage!

Kagura has taken Kagome and the infant to Naraku's latest hideout where Kanna meets them. Kanna has prepared a polluted Shikon jewel shard to insert into Kagome and once the jewel is in place, Kagome will become another helpless minion of Naraku. But Kagome resists, yearning for Inuyasha, which gives the baby another chance to attack the weak spot in Kagome's spirit. He reminds Kagome how happy she was when she thought Kikyo was dead, and how miserable she was when learning her rival might still be alive. He tells Kagome she hates Kikyo and resents Inuyasha for his devotion to Kikyo. Confident Kagome has surrendered to the baby's spell; Kagura tries to insert the jewel again, but Kagome remains strong in her will. Struggling to speak Kagome admits she's unhappy about Inuyasha's commitment to Kikyo, but she doesn't hate them for their relationship. Kagome confesses her love for Inuyasha and breaks the spell just as Inuyasha breaks through the hideout wall (Which he never heard of this confession). Exhausted and weak, Kagome faints, falling into Inu-Yasha arms. Everyone escapes, but as parting insult, the baby warns Inuyasha that Kagome will be vulnerable as long as he remains emotionally involved with Kikyo. The group returns to Kaede's village to recuperate. At Kikyo's new grave, Kaede and Inuyasha mourn the miko. Kaede reminisces that both Kikyo's lives were filled with suffering, but now she suffers no more ... and neither should Inuyasha. Later, when Kagome regains consciousness, she wakes to a very attentive Inuyasha by her side. As she recovers, Kagome and Inuyasha spend time together. Inuyasha apologizes to Kagome for running off to Kikyo, promising he'll never do it again. Kagome forgives him, but calls him a liar, and declares he’ll never change when it comes to his feelings for Kikyo.

127.  Don't Boil! The Horror Dried Youkai

Well, now that the whole Shichinintai and evil baby situation are over with for the time being, Kagome takes this opportunity to head home. Kagome comes home bearing a "souvenier": unusual dried food (kinda like jerky). She goes to her room to rest and remembers the conversation she had with Inuyasha, regarding Inuyasha's loyalty to Kikyou and her own feelings about that. The next day, Kagome returns to school... just int time for the school festival. Back in the feudal era, Inuyasha and the rest discuss exactly what Baby wanted with Kagome. Apparently he needed her to detect a jewel shard that was somewhere even beyond Naraku's reach. All of Inuyasha's group's shards were taken by Naraku. The only ones left that they know about are the two in Kouga's legs and the one keeping Kohaku alive. Shippou's eating some of the dried food, which was apparently a gift from some villagers they saved earlier. However, Sango recognizes it as demon jerky. While it's safe to eat, if you heat it in water, it becomes something else... Finding it too tough for his tastes, he uses his foxfire to heat it. It explodes into a huge mushroom demon... which is quickly vanquished by Sango. Shippou notes that the rest of the jerky was taken by Kagome to her world. Kagome's grandfather is still munching on his share of the souvenier jerky, but decides it's a tad on the tough side, so boils it. The pot erupts into a large demon. Thankfully, Inuyasha shows up right at that moment and takes care of the boiled demon easily. Kagome comes home, and notices the extra dinner guest. Kagome insists she can't get back to shard-hunting yet because of the school festival. Her family wants to come see it, as does Inuyasha (despite Kagome's protests).
