46.  Juuromaru and Kageroumaru

Kouga and Inu-Yasha have to team up to beat Juuroumaru and Kageroumaru, more of Naraku's offsprings. Inu-Yasha is badly wounded in this one, but ends up killing both Juuroumaru and Kageroumaru with Tetsusaiga.

47.  Onigumo's lingering heart in Naraku

Kagome goes back home after arguing with Inu-Yasha. Inu-Yasha has to save Kikyou from a monster sent by Naraku, and they end up sharing an intimate moment with Kagome watching.

48.  I want to go back to where we met!

Kagome goes back home, and Inu-Yasha has to decide whether or not to see Kagome anymore. Kagome finally realizes that she loves Inu-Yasha, and goes back to see him. She tells him that she just wants to be there for him, and they make up.

49.  The lost memory of Kohaku

The group saves Kohaku who has lost his memory completely. Sango tells him about his past, but then the group is attacked again by demons. Kohaku takes Kagome and runs away, but then Naraku tells him to kill her.

50.  The face doesn't go away from my heart

The group realizes that it was just a trap and go to find Kagome and Kohaku. Kohaku injures Kagome, but he can't kill her. He runs away and Sango goes after him. As Sango is about to kill him, Inu-Yasha stops her and Kohaku gets away.

51.  Inuyasha who lost his heart

After helping an old man and his grandson, the group goes back and find their village attacked by a demon called Gatenmaru.

52.  Irresistible! The youkai's true nature

Inu-Yasha's wounds from Gatenmaru cause him to become full demon, but loses his mind and goes on a killing rampage. Sesshoumaru finds Inu-Yasha and fights him, but then leaves after Inu-Yasha has fallen unconcious.

53.  Father's mortal enemy, Ryuukotsusei

Inu-Yasha seeks out Ryuukossei, the demon that his father died sealing, in order to constrain his demon blood.

54.  Tetsusaiga's ultimate attack, Bakuryuuha

Inu-Yasha discovers how to use Tetsusaiga's ultimate technique, the Bakuryuu, and uses it to defeat Ryuukossei.

55.  Flower stones and Shippo's first love

Shippo helps a little girl named Satsuki who is tricked by a demon by pretending to be her brother.

56.  The lure of beauty over the fogs

Miroku and Sango fight a demon who has taken over the spirit of a dead noble and sucked the youth out of the local village men.

57.  Everything about the night at the Dougenkyo, Part 1

Inu-Yasha and the group minus Sango and Kirara find the Ninmenka, or people-faced fruit, and decide to investigate. They find that a person named Toukijin has been turning people into these Ninmenka, and Inu-Yasha goes off by himself to fight him. However, he forgets that it is the night of the new moon, and after being captured by Toukijin, turns completely human. The rest of the group gets trapped in Toukijin's box garden when they go after Inu-Yasha.

58.  Everything about the night at the Dougenkyo, Part 2

Kagome is taken by Toukijin and a small Miroku and Shippo escape and find Inu-Yasha, who is completely human and badly injured. They find Kagome, but Toukijin finds them. Inu-Yasha saves Kagome by knocking Toukijin over the cliff (along with himself). The Ninmenka tree captures both before they hit the ground, but Inu-Yasha changes back and defeats it.

59.  Sango's young apprentices

While the rest of the group has been fighting Toukijin, Sango has gone home to fix her Hiraikotsu. There she finds two girls asking to be her apprentices.

60.  Black Miko, curse of 50 years

Naraku employs the help of Tsubaki, Kikyou's old nemesis. Kagome is bitten by Tsubaki's snake, and Tsubaki uses the blood to poison and control Kagome. Tsubaki orders Kagome to kill Inu-Yasha.
